CYQ Nutrition and Weight Management (Level 3)

One of the most popular questions that clients ask their Personal Trainer or Gym Instructor is “how can I lose weight?” This course provides you with the skills and required underpinning knowledge to answer those questions, identifying the principles of healthy eating and weight management in relation to exercise, enabling you to offer nutritional advice in an exercise context.

  • The role of fats, carbohydrates, and protein in the diet.
  • Nutritional basis of a healthy diet.
  • Eating for performance.
  • The physiology and psychology of dieting.
  • Planning safe and effective dietary modifications.

Format

The course lasts for three days and consists of a mix of both theory sessions and group workshops, with an additional day approximately two weeks after the course to undertake a theory paper.

Assessment

The course is assessed via a multiple choice theory paper, and a working case study.
