Who is eligible for funding?
Central Sports can cover part or all of the cost of your chosen programme of study through a number of different funding streams, should you meet the eligibility criteria. This makes our courses far more affordable than many of our competitors, and enables individuals and employers to gain the qualifications they need without worrying about the cost.
Work Based Learning (Fully Funded)
For individuals aged 16-24 at the start of their program, training can be provided at no cost as a result of funding provided by the LSC. This route is only available to those undertaking the full apprentice framework at either level 2 or level 3, and who meet the following criteria:
- Have reached statutory minimum school leaving age and not be currently undertaking any other government funded programmes, including further education (FE) and higher education (HE) courses.
- Hold a permanent contract of employment and be working for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
- Ordinarily resident in the UK, Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man for three years prior to the date of sign up onto any work based learning program.
- Must not have a degree.
Train to Gain (Part Funded)
For individuals aged 19-25+, some funding can be provided through the governments Train to Gain scheme. To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
- Must not possess a recognised level 2 or level 3 qualification, however learners possessing only part of a full NVQ maybe eligible.
- Resident in the Greater Manchester area, or working for a company with sites nationally.
