Sports Coaching

For individuals wishing to pursue a career as a sports coach or in coaching development, there are two apprenticeship routes available; at level 2 there is the Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership, and also at level 2 there is the Apprenticeship in Coaching, Teaching & Instruction.

Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership

The framework of qualifications required to complete the Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership includes the following:

• NVQ Level 2 Activity Leadership
• Technical Certificate in Industry & Organisational Awareness (Level 2)
• Key Skills Level 1 in Application of Number and Communication
• Two Level 2 Industry Awards

Apprenticeship in Coaching, Teaching & Instructing

The framework of qualifications required to complete the Apprenticeship in Coaching, Teaching & Instructing includes the following:

• NVQ Level 2 Coaching, Teaching & Instructing
• Technical Certificate in Industry & Organisational Awareness (Level 2)
• Key Skills Level 1 in Application of Number and Communication
• Two Level 2 Industry Awards
